The National Weather Forecast for Today - Showers and thunder showers will occur east of a line from Louisiana across southern Illinois and eastern Michigan, except for the New England area.The rest of the nation will have dry weather and mostly sunny skies. The Desert Southwest as well as the interior valleys of California will have temperatures in the 100 degree plus range. The Great Lakes will have temperatures in the 60s. Readings in the 90s will cover Florida, southern and western Texas and across southern New Mexico into the Southwest Desert area.
