Extended Area Outlook for Sunday throughout Tuesday: Partly cloudy, warm and humid through the period, with a chance of afternoon or evening thunderstorms each day. Highs will average in the 80s to near 90, lows from mid 60s to low 71s. Normal Washington temperatures for the period will be a high of 88 and a low of 69.

West Virginia: Today - Partly cloudy with showers or thunderstorms likely, high in mid 70s to low 80s, low in mid 60s. Saturday - Partly cloudy, high in low 80s.

The National Weather Forecast for today - Scattered thundershowers will continue from the Atlantic Coast states through the Appalachians, the lower Great Lakes region, the Gulf Coast states and the southern Rockies. Rain will be heaviest over portions of North Texas. Sunny skies will stretch from the northern halves of the Mississippi Valley, the Great Plains and the Rockies to the west coast, it will cool off in western Washington, but hot weather will remain over the rest of the Pacific Northwest, northern California and most of the intermountain region and spread across Montana and [WORD ILLEGIBLE]. Mild temperatures will reach from the north and central Great Plains across much of the Mississippi and the Ohio Valley. It will also be mild over the rain areas of Texas and the southern Rockies.
