Extended Area Forecast for Wednesday through Friday - Fair Wednesday and Thursday with a chance of rain on Friday. Highs will average in the upper 50s and low 60s at the beginning of the period and near 70 at the end. The council of Government's Air at Qualify Index for yesterday showed the high reading in the Washington area during the 9 a.m. period was 14 for the pollutant, photochemical oxidants.
