William L. Graff, 56, Indian Head, is a Democrat. Born in Washington, D.C., moved to Charles County in 1961. Served as combat photographer in World Ward II. Received commendation from the secretary of the Navy for aerial photography. Member, Charles Democratic Club; treasures, Western Section Democratic Club; 29-year member, Loyal Order of Moose, and active member, St. Ignatius Church, Hilltop. I have always kept up with what is going on throughout the county, both politically and otherwise. Feel that my experience as a successful businessman (I am a school bus contractor) would qualify me for the job of the clerk of the court. Married for 37 years to Mary Collins Graff, raised nine Children and we consider Charles County a part of us.

Patrick C. Mudd, 59, of LaPlata, is a Republican. Am a native of Charles County, Attended two years of college at the University of Maryland. Veteran of World War II. 32 years of experience as clerk of the Circuit Court. Charter member of Maryland Court Clerks Association, having served as vice president and on several committees of that organization. Am well versed in the laws and rules of court which govern the operations of the office. Have organized and trained a competent staff of 12 deputies who are dedicated to efficient public service. Theresa E. Caniglia, 58, of 833 Barrington Dr., Waldorf, is a Republican. High school graduate; Rhode Island Honor Society, four years; one year, Rhode Island School of Design; real estate college course, licensed; hospital volunteer; general office work and production control, 10 years. President of PTA three times. Held offices in Eastern Star five years. Secretary of Aqua-Land Yacht Club third year; corresponding secretary of Republican Club of Charles County fifth year. Raised two sons who are a credit: Kenneth is a mechanical engineer and Bruce is a director of computer consultant software program analyst. I've been divorced for eight years and had the responsibility of raising two sons who were 14 and 20 and are now 22 and 30. Resident of Charles County 11 years. Rosalie W. Corn, 64, or Bryans Road, is a Democrat. I am completing eight years in the office of the judge of the Orphan's Court.

H. Celeste Downs, 47, of Nanjemoy, is a Democrat. I have been serving as judge of the Orphan's Court for four years. I'm a member and on the board of directors of the Maryland Associated of Judges of Orphan's Courts and a member of the National College of Probate Judges. Diana D. Hokie, 43, of LaPlata, is a Republican. I have had experience with wills and estates. I've taken courses in law and real estate. The nature of my work is such that I do have time todevote to the job.

Robert C. Nalley, a Democrat, is running unopposed for the office of state's attorney of Charles County.

Jeannie McConnell, 49, of LaPlata, is a Republican. My husband and I have been in business in LaPlata for 15 years, and I have been involved in several estate Illinois, where I have a large family. I have been a member of the Charles County Sheriff's Department for over 17 years and am presently commander of the criminal investigation and specail services division, including traffic safety. I have been a supervisor for the past 10 years and have advanced through the ranks by hard work and dedication to the job and the citizens of Charles County. During the past 17 years I have been educated in all areas of law enforcement, including the following studies at the Carles County Community College criminal investigation (1969) juvenile delinquency (1970) and criminal law(1971).
