A full day's activities are scheduled Tuesday for the inauguration of Marion Barry as mayor of the District of Columbia and seven others as members of the City Council.

Here is a schedule of official events on Tuesday, Inauguration Day:

7:30 a.m. - Inaugural breakfast at the Washington Hilton Hotel, 1919 Conecticut Ave, NW. The mayor-elect and members of the council are scheduled to attend. The Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, president of Operation PUSH (People United to Save Humanity), will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $10 each and should be available at the door.

9:15-11:30 a.m. - Inaugural parade beginning outside the Washington Hilton Hotel. The parade will proceed northeast on Florida Avenue to U Street, east on U Street to 14th Street, south on 14th Street to the District Building at E Street, east on E Street to 13th Street and pennsylvania Avenue to 12th Street, and south on 12th Street to Constitution Avenue, where it will end.

Noon - Swearing-in ceremony on the front steps of the District Building, 14th and E streets NW. The mayor-elect will be sworn in by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Sen. Edward m. Kennedy (D-Mass.) will make remarks. Seven members of the City Council also will be sworn in. No tickets are needed. The public is invited.1-3 p.m. - Inaugural reception on the first and fifth floors of the District Building, 14th and E streets NW. The public is invited to meet the new mayor and members of the council. No admission charge.

2 p.m. - Organizational meeting of the City Council in the Council Chambers, fifth floor of District Building. The council will adopt its rules of organization and approve its committe chairmen and assignments for the 1979-1980 legislative term.

8 p.m.-1 a.m. The Inaugural party and disco at the Washington Hilton Hotel. Music will be provided by Peaches and herb, Julia & co., Bobby Felder and disc jockey Donnie Simpson. Admission is -15 per person. Tickets should be available at the door. Black-tie dress is not required.

Further information about inaugural events can be obtained by calling the Washington Hilton Hotel, 483-3000, after noon, Monday, Jan. 1.

Tickets, which are limited and available on a firt-come, first-served basis, may be obtained from the Inaugural Committee office on the sixth floor of the National Theatre Building, 1325 E St. NW, after 9 a.m. Tuesday or at the hotel.

Several other events related to the inaugural also have been scheduled.

Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. - Inaugural ball for the gay community and friends at The Pier, 1824 Half St., SW. Admission is $5. For information call 667-5139.

Wednesday, Noon-2:30 p.m. - official business, labor and professional inaugural luncheon at the Washington Hilton Hotel. The mayor and members of the City Council will participate. Tickets are $30 each and available at the inaugural committee office or the hotel.

Thursday, 1-3 p.m. - City Council open house and reception for students, first floor of District Building.

Thursday, 4-6:30 p.m. - City Council open house and reception for senior citizens and handicapped, first floor of District Building.

Friday, 6-8 p.m. - City Council open house and reception for advisory neighborhood commissioners, civic associations, D.C. Board of Education members and business on first floor of District building.
