One of four persons pursued by police in a 100-mile an hour chase that followed an early morning break-in in Baltimore County apparently shot himself to death after reaching his home, county police said.

Three other persons were arrested in the chase which began in Baltimore County and ended near Pasadena in Anne Arundel County after police there set up road blocks and fired several shots.

One of the three was shot in the buttocks and critically wounded, police said.

Police said the incident began when four persons forced open the door of a Reistertown apartment and began fighting with the occupants.

After the four fled, the occupants called police and described their car.

Baltimore county police began pursuing a car shortly afterward. When it was finally halted, police said, one man fled on foot.

Police identified him as Anthony Koerber, 24, of Pasadena. They said he was later found dead in his home with a bullet wound in the head. Suicide notes were found in the house, police said.

The wounded man was identified as Michael Swecker, 27, of Brooklyn, Md. He was listed in critical condition at University Hospital in Baltimore.

Also arrested were Debrah Shrebb, 26, and a 17-year-old, both of Baltimore, police said. All the suspects were charged with burglary, Baltimore County police said.
