Tiffany Lyn Scott, 13, an 8th grade student at the Holy Redeemer School in Kensington, died Thursday at Suburban Hospital. She died as a result of injuries she suffered in a traffic accident Dec. 13.
She and two other pedestrians were struck near the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Saul Road in Kensington by a lumber truck.
Miss Scott had been an honor student at Holy Redeemer and had participated in Catholic Youth Organization baseball and basketball at the school. At the time of her death, she was captain of the school's cheerleaders.
She played the piano, rode horses, and was active in competitive iceskating in the area.
She was a member of Concord-St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Bethesda, where she sang in the choir and had belonged to the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
She was a native of Washington.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson T. Scott, a sister, Kimberly L., and a brother, Justin T., all of the home in Bethesda; and her grandparents, Ella S. Waterman and Mr. and Mrs. T. Harold Scott, all of Bethesda.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Tiffany Lyn Scott Memorial Fund at the Concord-St. Andrews United Methodist Church. CAPTION: Picture, Tiffany Lyn Scott
