On Monday, January 1, at Fairfax Hospital, of Reston, Va. Mrs. Walsh, age 37, recently resigned because of health from her position as Curator of the Research Center of the Federal Theater Proiect of George Mason University, Fairfax, Va. She has been associated with the above Federal Theater Proiect since its inception in 1976. Previous to that she had acted as an assistant Reference Librarian at American University. Mrs. Walsh has been active in church and community affairs during her eleven years in Reston, Va. She served on the Board of Directors of the Theater Library Association and was Director of Special Collections of Fenwick Library, George Mason University. She was born in Springfield, Mass., graduating from Emmanuel College, Boston, Mass. in 1962 and was granted a Masters of Library Science degree from Drexel Institute, Philadelphia, Pa. In December 1978 after completing the requirements she received a second Masters Degree in the field of Liberal Studies from Georgetown University. Survivors include a close personal friend, Rochester Murphy, Reston, Va.; two daughters, Mary Patricia and Kateri Waish and a son, David Walsh, all of Reston; her parents, Dr. William J. and Mary Devin, Springfield, Mass.; two sisters, Gertrude Naatz, of St. Johnsbury, Vt. and Katherine A. Powers, of Springfield, Mass.; two brothers, James W. Devlin, of Indianapolis, Ind. and William J. Devlin, of Springfield, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 3 at the Church of St. Thomas a Becket, 1421 Wiehle ave., Reston, Va. Further services and interment to follow in Springfield, Mass.
