William G. Laurich, 59, vice principal of Bladensburg Senior High School, died of cancer Sunday at Prince George's General Hospital.

He joined the faculty of Bladensburg as a welding instructor in 1951. He became vice principal in charge of the vocational-technical program in 1962.

Mr. Laurich was a native of Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor's degree at California State Teachers College and a master's degree at the University of Maryland.

He taught school in Pensylvania before coming to the Washington area.

He served in the military police in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II.

Mr. Laurich had belonged to St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Riverdale for 22 years. He had served as president of its Sunday School.

He belonged to the Moose Lodge in College Park, the American Legion post in Greenbelt, and Council 2809 of the Knights of Columbus in College Park.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes, and two daughters, Sharon and Denise, all of the home in Hyattsville, and a brother, Ernest, and two sisters, Ann Zisek and Elizabeth Durco, all of Pennsylvania.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the William G. Laurich Scholarship Fund for vocationaltechnical students at Bladensburg Senior High School.
