A 13-year-old girl attending a wedding reception at a Catholic church parish hall in Montgomery County Saturday night was abducted, then raped by a group of men during an hour-long ordeal, police reported yesterday.

Police said five men have been arrested on charges of rape and kidnaping in the incident because a citizen alerted by the girl's screams, was able to provide investigators with the license plate number of the abductors' car.

The girl was abducted about 11:30 p.m. from a parking area near the church where she had gone to look at decorations on the bride and groom's car, police said.

The girl, forced into a car occupied by three men, was first driven to the Bayla garden apartment development on Summit Drive in Gaithersburg, where police said she was raped.

Two other men joined the group at that point, according to police, and the girl was held for a time in the apartment building laundry room while some of the men smoked marijuana.

Then, police said, the five men drove with the girl to a field off Snouffers School Road in Gaithersburg, where she was raped again.

Residents of the area, alarmed by the girl's scra the girl's screams, called police, and one, who saw a car drive away, was able to get its license number, police said.

The girl, found crying hysterically about 60 yards off Snouffers School Road, was taken to Montgomery General Hospital, treated and released.

Police said the car described by the citizen was registered to Robert Ryan Parks, 21, of Hagerstown, Md., who was arrested at his home early Sunday morning.

Also arrested were Parks' brother, Timothy Parks, 18, of Hagerstown; John Norris Anderson, 23, of 1 Summit Dr., Gaithersburg; Clyde William Brewer, 23, of 1 Water St., Gaithersburg, and Ronald Harrison Reemsnyder, 30, of 1 N. Summit Dr., Gaithersburg.

Police said all were charged with rape and kidnaping. Robert Parks was released under $15,000 bond; the other suspects were being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center in Rockville.
