Anne P. Pollard, 47, who had been active in community and church work here, died of cancer Tuesday at Georgetown University Hospital.
Since the mid-1960s, she had done volunteer work with the Montgomery County Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and the Adult Education Program of the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. She was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Garrett Park, Md., and the Garrett Park Citizens Association.
Mrs. Pollard was born in Pittsburgh. She grew up in Rochester, N.Y., where she attended Nazareth College. She graduated from D'Youville College in Buffalo.
She came to the Washington area in 1955 and worked in the marketing department of the old Capital Airlines. During the next 10 years, she also worked for United Airlines, Johnston Lemon and Co., stockbrokers, the administrator of Georgetown University Hospital and Andris Realty in Bethesda.
Mrs. Pollard was the wife of John D. Pollard, an official with the National Savings and Trust Co. in Washington.
In addition for her husband, of the home in Garrett Park, she is survived by three children, Maura A., Tara M. and Sean D., all of the home, and a brother, Edward A. Padelford, of Bethesda.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Alumni Association of D'Youville College.
