A 17-year-old Clarksburg, Md., man was arrested yesterday and charged with raping two women on Tuesday, Montgomery County police reported.

Police spokeswoman Nancy Moses said Jack Warren Stephens of 15116 Comus Rd. was being held at the Montgomery County detention center charged with three counts of first-degree rape.

According to investigators, Stephens accousted a 27-year-old woman as she was entering her car at the Washington Adventist Hospital in Silver Spring at 4 p.m. Tuesday, pushed her into the car and drove her to an area in Gaithersburg, where she was raped. She was forced into the car's trunk, driven to a field off Black Hills Road in Boyds, Md., and raped her again, after which her assailant released her and took her car, investigators said.

Stephens also was charged with raping another woman who was walking on Montgomery Village Avenue in Gaithersburg at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, The 24-year-old woman was taken to a gravel road believed to be in the Poolesville area of Montgomery County, where she was raped, police said. The woman was brought back to the same area where she was picked up.

Police said Stephens was arrested as a result of a search for him and the stolen car.
