On Wednesday, November 28, 1979, CHERYL LYNN GARDNER, was received into the arms of Jesus at the National Institutes of Health after a four year courageous battle against Leukemia. She will be sadly missed by her beloved parents, Elizabeth (Betty) and Carl Gardner, her only brother, Christopher, and her maternal grandmother, Grace Burns, all of the home in Mitchelville, Md. Also surviving to mourn her death are her paternal grandmother, Genevieve Gardner; beloved aunts and uncles, Eleanor and Louis Gabel, John and Jean Burns, Elmer and Carol Burns, and Park and Juanita Gardener, plus a host of cousins, friends and teachers at Heather Hills School, Bowie, Md. (parking on premises), Friday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at The First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville, Queens Chapel and Queensbury rds., Hyattsville, Md., on Saturday, December 1, at 2 p.m. Interment George Washington Cemetery.
