Persons who are 60 and older can get help filling out federal and state tax forms from Montgomery County's free Tax Aide Program.
Beginning Feb. 4, more than 100 volunters who have been trained by federal and state tax experts to help senior citizens claim all possible tax breaks will work weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 18 locations in the county.
Their service is by appointment only. Appointments may be made by calling 565-5705 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 21.
The Tax Aide Program is sponsored annually by the Division of Elder Affairs, in collaboration with the American Association of Retired Persons and the National Retired Teachers Association.
Tax aides will be located at the following places:

Four Corners -- Marvin Memorial Church, 33 University Blvd. East.
Gaithersburg -- Gaithersburg Rental Center, 212 E. Diamond Ave.
Kensington -- St. Paul's Methodist Church, 10401 Armory Ave.
Rockville -- United Methodist Church, 122 W. Montgomery Ave.; Bethany House, 199 Rollins Ave.; Jewish Community Center, 6125 Montrose Rd.; Bauer Drive Community Center, 14635 Bauer Drive.
Sandy Spring -- Friends House, Quarker Lane.
