Ward-level meetings to encourage citizen participation in planning the District's fiscal year 1982 budget are being held through May 1.

At the meetings, citizens will have an opportunity to review and make recommendation about proposed budget priorities for all city departments and agencies.

"The mayor has started his commitment to maximum citizen participation in developing the fiscal year 1962 budget so that the final document will represent his administration's best efforts to meet citizen needs and priorities," said D.C. budget director Gladys Mack.

All meetings begin at 7:30 p.m., with presentations of information by the city at 7:50 p.m. and citizen comments beginning at 8:50 p.m. The following is a schedule of upcoming meetings. For more information on the budget planning process, call Lloyd Smith at 727-6343.
