With spring at last in the air, gardeners may be looking for a way to bring their plants out of the winter doldrums.Starting this month, residents can get help at plant clinics that will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through July.
The clinics are sponsored by the Fairfax County extension service and the National Capital Area Federation of Garden Clubs.
Residents can bring indoor and outdoor plants, vegetables, grass -- "anything that should be green but isn't" -- to the clinics, where trained workers will advise gardeners on how to bring back the bloom of health to their plants.
One word of caution: Gardeners who would like a soil analysis before beginning spring planting should not bring soil samples to the clinics. For information on soil analyses, call the Fairfax County Extension Service, at 691-3456.
