Anthony J. Puglisi, 59, the busines agent of Good Council Catholic High School since 1973, died Tuesday, at Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital. He had a duodenal ulcer and diabetes.
In addition his work for the high school, Mr. Puglisi had been a registered real estate broker in Northern Virginia since 1962.
He was a member of the Third Degree of the Edward Douglas White and of the Fourth Degree in the Commodore John Barry councils of the Knights of Columbus. Both councils are in Arlington.
He also was a member of George Washington Lodge No. 2038 of the Order of the Sons of Italy in America. The Lodge is in Arlington.
Mr. Puglisi was a native of Washington and a graduate of St. John's College High School. He served with the Army Corps of Engineers in the Pacific during World War II.
He lived in Miami for 10 years before returning this area in 1962. He was active in the real estate business in Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Carmelina D., of Arlington; three daughters, Mary D. Pannington of Falls Church, Margie Franck of Dale City, Va., and Patricial L. Puglisi of Falls Church; a son, Charles A., of Chicago; two brothers, James A., of Arlington, and Charles J., of Clarksville, Md.; a sister, Amerila Ripani of Annandale and four grandchildren.
