There are four regional offices for D.C. public schools and each supervises the schools in its jurisdiction, gives instructional support to teachers and provides services to students in the area of special testing, placement and psychological counseling.

Each region is administered by an assistant superintendent, who handles transfers and special admissions and can supply information about school boundaries. The offices for Special Education and Career and Continuing Education also serve as regional offices for citywide schools.

Parents may call the regional office for information about enrollment, available programs or to resolve school-related problems. To find out which region you're in, or for other questions, parents may call the communications branch at 724-4044. REGION A (Wards 2 & 8) 767-7065 Reuben G.
