Helen P. Rogers, 64, a resident of Falls Church who was active in Army and golf groups, died of cancer Friday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Mrs. Rogers, who was born in New York City, was the wife of retired Army Col. William T. (Buck) Rogers of the Judge Advocate General's Corps. She accompanied her husband to military posts in this country and abroad and had served as president of the Officer's Wives Clubs in Otsu, Japan, and Orleans, France.
Former Arlington residents, she and her husband lived there for more than 10 years from the late 1950s to 1974, when Col. Rogers, who was assigned to the Court of Military Review here, retired from the Army. They then moved to Newport News, Va., where they lived until returning to this area last year.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of the women's golf group at the Army and Navy Country Club in Arlington and the Club's ARFAX (Arlington-Fairfax) golf teams.
Besides her husband of Falls Church, survivors include a daughter, Virginia A. Rogers of Arlington; a son, William T. Jr. of Springfield, and two sisters, May Verlin of Montgomery, N.Y., and Margaret Reville of New Rochelle, N.Y.
