Age 87, in Manchester, Mass., HAROLD H. TITTMAN JR., husband of the late Eleanor B. (Barclay) Tittman of Masconomo st., died Monday. Mr. Tittman was born in St. Louis, Mo. and had been a resident of Manchester since 1972. Mr. Tittman graduated from Taft School 1912 and from Yale University 1916. Mr. Tittman was a veteran of World War I, having served with the Aviation Section of the Army Signal Corps. He was a Fighter Pilot with the rank of 1st Lieu. Mr. Tittman joined the US Diplomatic Service 1921. He was Assistant Chief of the Division of European Affairs in the State Department, Washington, D.C., Ambassador to Haiti and Peru and, finally, for three years, he was Director of Intergovernmental Commitee for European Migration with headquarters in Geneva until he retired 1958. Mr. Tittman is survived by two sons, Harold H. Tittman III of Brussels, Belgium and Barclay Tittman of Concord, Mass.; a sister, Miss Winfred Tittman of St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Emmanuel Church, Masconomo st., Manchester, Mass., 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
