The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority will change service on many Metrobus routes used by D.C. residents beginning Jan. 4.

Some of the changes are due to the opening of new Blue Line Metro stations in the District and Prince George's County, and the shift of the Seat Pleasant terminal to the new Capitol Heights station. This will affect the Mount Pleasant Line (Route 40) and the Benning Road Line (Routes X2, X5, X7 and X9). New schedules will begin on other routes. Details of each change follow.
