Copies of the city's first official housing policy are now available to the public, according to D.C. Housing and Community Development Director Robert L. Moore.
The housing policy sets down goals, objectives and implementation steps in areas ranging from increasing the housing stock and economic development to increasing private financing of low-income housing.
The policy was developed by a task force of representatives of citizen groups, public housing residents, tenant groups, universities, developers, financial institutions, the real estate community, research groups and city housing officials.
