On February 1, 1981, of Windsor, Ontario, formerly of Bethesda, Md., mother of Tim Pryor of Windsor, Ontario; daughter of Mrs. Mary Reed of Logan, Iowa; sister of Mrs. Jane Wood of Logan, Iowa and Allen Reed of Gallup, N.M. She also is survived by two grandchildren. Services were held in Winsor, Ontario, on February 5, 1981. Mrs. Pryor, a retired Congressional Reporter for the American Council on Education, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1915. She received a BA, with honors, in journalism from the University of Iowa in 1936. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. After graduation she became Society Editor of the Council Bluffs Nonparell. She later joined the United Press International and became Chief of the Madison Wisconsin Bureau. Later she joined the Washington, D.C. Bureau of UPI. Her assignments included the House of Representatives, the FTC and the Office of Education. She later worked for the House Subcommittee on Education and later joined the American Council on Education as a congressional reporter. She moved to Windsor, Ontario in 1980. Family suggest that expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to CARE.
