Leola E. Greenfield, 42, a former parent-teacher coordinator at the Hunt Place NE Health Clinic of the D.C. Department of Human Resources who wa active in church groups, died May 3 at Greater Southeast Community Hospital of cardiac arrest and sepsis.
Mrs. Greenfield was born in Washington and attended Cardozo High School. In the 1960s, she did volunteer work with preschool programs in Washington. In 1969, she became a volunteer in the speech and hearing department of the Hunt Place clinic.
In 1971, she joined the clinic staff as a parent-teacher coordinator in the speech and hearing department. About 1976, she transferred to the maternity and infant care program. She resigned in 1978 for reasons of health.
Mrs. Greenfield, who lived in Bradbury Heights, Md., was a member of the Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Washington and of its gospel choir.
Survivors include her husband, Donald W. Greenfield Sr., of Bradbury Heights; six children, Yolanda D. Scroggins of Coral Hill, Md., Wanda T., Victoria A., May M. and Linda M. Greenfield, all of Bradbury Heights, and Donald W. Jr., who is in the Air Force and stationed in Texas; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Veola Cloutterbuck of Washington; six sisters and six brothers.
