Four persons were stabbed to death in Washington in separate incidents that occurred over the weekend. Police made arrests in three of the stabbings.
Earl K. Hose, 51, was stabbed around 1 p.m. Saturday in his home at 226 Tennessee Ave. NE. D.C. police said they arrested Earl B. Plowden, 27, of the Tennessee Avenue address and charged him with homicide.
On Sunday, Demitrice Butler, 17, of 3851 9th St. SE, was stabbed in the chest, neck and head with a bayonet during an altercation in the hallway of an apartment house at 3700 9th St. SE, police said. They said a juvenile who lives in the neighborhood was arrested and charged in juvenile papers with homicide.
In a third incident, police said Robert L. Strange, 38, of 2214 Nicholson St. SE, was fatally stabbed with a butcher knife at his house. Police said they arrested Hattie E. Stith, 46, of the Nicholson Street address, and charged her with homicide.
Police said they still were investigating the killing of James C. Rogers Jr, a lawyer for a committee of the House of Representatives. He was found stabbed to death Saturday in his home at 1331 35th St. NW.
