M. Geraldine (Gerry) Walsh, 83, who retired in 1970 as an administrator for the Milk Industry Foundation and the International Association of Ice Cream Manufacturers, died of congestive heart failure Tuesday at the home of a niece, Mrs. William J. Reardon, in McLean.
Miss Walsh became a staff member of the Milk Industry Foundation, a trade association, in 1942. She also worked for the International Association of Ice Cream Manufacturers.
In 1950, she helped organize The Food Group of Washington, an informal conference of representatives and executives of associations in the food industry. She was secretary and treasurer of the group from 1950 to 1978.
Miss Walsh was born in Sheboygan, Wis., and graduated from Downer College in Minneapolis and Benjamin Franklin University here.
She was a past president of the L'Enfant Business and Professional Women's Club and a member of Zonta, a group of business and professional women, the League of Republican Women, and Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of the Sodality and Leisure Club of the Church of the Annunciation here.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Gerald A. Walsh of Bethesda.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
