Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3E voted 5 to 0 to oppose a beer and wine license for a Citco station at 4326 Wisconsin Ave. NW. An ANC representative will testify against the license at a hearing today before the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
The ANC voted not to oppose American University's plan to use the former Baptist Home at 3700 Nebraska Ave. NW as a dormitory and health service facility. The ANC also voted not to oppose the transfer of a liquor license from Il Nido, at 4712 Wisconsin Ave. NW, to a Japanese restaurant, to be called Yosaku, which will open at the same address.
The ANC voted to oppose the continuation of the Reno Road traffic experiment. The ANC has suggested that this experiment be postponed until the Montgomery County metro stations are in operation.
Speed bumps on 46th Street NW have diverted traffic, thereby creating problems on other streets. The ANC has asked the D.C. Department of Transportation to come up with solutions.
The ANC is supporting a proposal for a bus route that would link the neighborhood with the Van Ness metro station until the Friendship Heights metro station opens. The proposed service from Western and Wisconsin avenues via Tenley Circle would enable residents to reach the Van Ness station without transferring.
