Margaret M. Gaynor, 67, an area resident since 1946 who lived in Arlington where she was a member of the Cathedral Of St. Thomas More, died of cancer Aug. 12 in Arlington Hospital.

Mrs. Gaynor was a native of Pennsylvania.

Survivors include her husband, retired Army Brig. Gen. Robert M. Gaynor of Arlington; a son, Army Capt. Robert M. Gaynor Jr., who is stationed at Fort Riley, Kan.; three daughters, Peggy Alm of Fargo, N.D., Molly Gaynor of New York City, and Barbara Aziz of Smith River, Calif.; two sisters, Kay Davis of Naples, Fla., and Mary Jennings of Scranton, Pa., and two grandchildren.
