William J. Fahey Sr., 68, a procurement analyst with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at Greenbelt from 1961 until his retirement in 1976, died of cancer Oct. 7 at Prince George's General Hospital.

Mr. Fahey, who lived in College Park, was born in Philadelphia. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II and won the French Croix de Guerre.

After the war, he went to work for the Veterans Administration in Philadelphia. He continued there until he moved to the Washington area and joined NASA.

For many years, Mr. Fahey was active in volunteer work at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M., of College Park; two sons, William J. Jr., of Arlington, and Army S/Sgt. Richard J., of Stuttgart, West Germany, and a sister, Margaret Betzala, of Pennsylvania. William J. Fahey Sr. -
