The state Board for Higher Education has released its new "Student Guide to Higher Education in Maryland."

The guide includes data on programs offered at 250 colleges, universities and state-approved trade and technical schools, financial aid programs and how to apply for them, and other information for students planning to attend college.

About 120,000 copies of the 36-page guide, which is in a newspaper format, are being shipped to every high school in the state. Junior and senior high school students are to receive a copy.
