Public hearings on the District's proposed comprehensive land use plan have been scheduled the week of April 18 throughout the city.
In announcing the final round of community review and hearings on the plan, which the D.C. Office of Planning issued last fall, D.C. Planning Director John H. McKoy said: "I call upon all District residents to get involved in this planning effort, which will affect the quality of community life in the District for generations to come."
The public hearings are scheduled for the following times and places:
April 18, 6 p.m., for Wards 4 and 5, Backus Junior High School, Hamilton Street and South Dakota Avenue NE.
April 19, 6 p.m., for Wards 1 and 3, Gordon Center, 35th and T streets NW, second floor auditorium.
April 20, 6 p.m., Wards 7 and 8, Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church, 3000 Pennsylvania Ave. SE.
April 23, 10 a.m., Wards 2 and 6, including downtown, Office of Planning, 420 Seventh St. NW, fourth floor conference room.
In addition, a summary hearing about issues raised during the hearings will be held at 10 a.m. April 30 in the fourth floor auditorium, 420 Seventh St. NW.
