Arlington County police received the following crime reports from Aug. 5 through Aug. 11: Sexual Offenses
FOUR MILE RUN DR. at 4 p.m. Aug. 10. A woman complained she was walking her dog on a bicycle path was approached by a man on a bike who exposed himself and continued to ride a few feet in front of her. Police have issued a lookout for a white male 20 to 25 years old with thin, light brown hair and wearing faded red shorts.
HIGHLAND ST. N. at 10 p.m. Aug. 10. A woman getting into her car in a parking lot was approached by a man with his pants partially down. Police have issued a lookout for a white male about 16 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, thin, with straight blond hair and wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
RANDOLPH ST. N., 3:30 to 5 p.m. Aug. 7. A woman sunbathing in her back yard entered the house where she was staying and found a man standing in the hallway. The man followed her outside and inside the house several times and eventually followed her into her bedroom and raped her. Police have issued a lookout for a thin and balding man 30 to 45 years old, around 6 feet, 1 inch tall.
STAFFORD ST. N. at 9 a.m. Aug. 4. A woman who lives in a group house was attacked by a housemate while she was sleeping in her bed. Robbery and Abduction
FERN ST. S., 1500 block, 2:30 to 4 p.m. Aug. 4. A man leaving a store was asked what car he was driving by a man armed with an automatic pistol. The man got into the victim's car, took his wallet and forced him to withdraw $25 from an automatic teller and cash a $100 check at Fort McNair in the District. The man took the money and forced the driver to drop him off back in Virginia, according to the report. Police have issued a lookout for a black man 35 to 40 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with salt and pepper colored hair, a beard and dark moustache, missing about eight teeth in the front section of his mouth and wearing a brown shirt, brown shoes and flowered pants. EADS ST. S. 1200 block on Aug. 5. A woman noticed $162 missing from her home and suspected it was taken by an employe of a floor service who was in the house to tighten the carpets. When the suspect was confronted, she returned the money, according to the report.
EADS ST. S., 1600 block at 11 p.m. Aug. 8. A man observed a suspect enter an apartment and then return to an old, dark blue, four-door car where two other men were sitting. The three men returned to the apartment and left several minutes later, dropping a lamp in the yard. It was not immediately determined what was taken.
FREDERICK ST. S., 100 block on Aug. 6. Assorted audio equipment was taken from a residence. Entry was through an open living-room window.
GLEBE RD. S., 2700 block, 4:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 4. Twenty-five dollars was taken from a residence. Entry was through a bedroom window missing a screen.
JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY. S., 1200 block. One hundred dollars was taken from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.
JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY. 1700 block between 7 p.m. Aug. 5 and 2 p.m. Aug. 6. Six hundred and thirty dollars was taken from a business. There was no sign of forced entry.
JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY. 1700 block between 7:30 p.m. Aug.10 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 11. Nine hundred dollars was taken from a restaurant safe. Entry was through the front door where the padlock was left unlocked.
LEE HWY. 6800 block between 5 p.m. Aug. 7 and 2 p.m. Aug. 8. Three motorcycle helmets and 12 water bottles were taken from a business. Entry was through a rear bathroom window.
QUANTICO ST. N., 1800 block, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 5. Jewelry was taken from a residence. Entry was through an unlocked study window.
WAYNE ST. S., 100 block, 3:30 to 6:30 a.m. Aug. 10. More than 30 tires were taken from a business. Entry was by breaking a front door.
22ND ST. S., 3400 block, 10 p.m. to midnight Aug. 8. A sky-blue Motobecane moped was taken from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry. 28TH ST. S., 1400 block on Aug. 7. Two Volkswagen tires, a box of dishes and some Christmas decorations were taken from a residence. Entry was by breaking a window in a storage room.
28TH ST. S., 1400 block, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 10. Cash, jewelry and camera equipment were taken from a residence.
