Arlington County police received the following crime reports from Sept. 9 through Sept. 15: Sexual Offenses

ARLINGTON VILLAGE, 10:20 p.m. Sept. 9. A woman was grabbed by a man who took her to the side of a parking lot, tore her clothes and attempted to rape her.

BARCROFT-NEW BARCROFT, 1300 block, 10 to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 10. A woman entering her apartment was raped by a man armed with a handgun. He also took $180 from her pocketbook and some jewelry before fleeing.

CARLYN SPRINGS RD., 1 p.m. Sept. 12. An 8-year-old girl in a girls' bathroom at a school was approached by a man who asked her her name and age and exposed himself. She ran out of the room.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11. A boy was approached on the street by a man in a sports car who made sexual comments and offered him money to get into the car. The boy walked away.

COLUMBUS ST. N., 7 p.m. Sept. 8. A woman walking in a park came upon a man standing on a bridge with his pants down.

FORT MYER HEIGHTS-CLARENDON, 2:40 a.m. Sept. 9. A woman sleeping in her bedroom was raped by a man who awakened her. He put a pillow over her mouth when she started to scream and then raped her.

PATRICK HENRY DR., 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15. Two 12-year-old girls walking down the street were approached by four boys who made profane and sexual comments and fondled them. Robbery

ARLINGTON RIDGE RD. S., 1200 block, 10:50 a.m. Sept. 14. A woman's purse was snatched.

CHAIN BRIDGE RD. N., 100 block, 9:30 to 10:15 p.m. Sept. 10. A woman was confronted in her home by two people, one armed with a handgun. They tied her up in her bedroom and took jewelry and money before leaving.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 3600 block, 2:50 a.m. Sept. 10. A man armed with a knife took $19 from a clerk at a store.

15TH ST. S., 1000 block, 9:20 p.m. A man and a woman walking down the street were approached by two men, one armed with a gun, who demanded their money. The man grabbed the gun and struggled with one of the suspects, and the woman began screaming. A car approached and the two suspects fled. Thefts/Break-ins

FOUR MILE RUN DR. S., 4600 block, 4 p.m. Sept. 11 to 7 a.m. Sept. 12. An apartment was entered, nothing reported stolen.

GEORGE MASON DR. S., 1500 block, Sept. 10. A man's 12-speed Fuji sports bicycle was taken from the storage room of an apartment. Entry was by prying a lock off a door.

GLEBE RD. N., 1000 block, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 to 9:15 a.m. Sept. 8. A light blue, 1977 Ford pickup truck was taken from a business. Entry was through a bathroom window.

MOORE ST. N., 1900 block, Sept. 12. Three NBI System 3000 word processors and a high-speed printer were taken from a business storage closet.

QUINN ST. N., 1700 block, 3:12 a.m. Sept. 14. A wallet containing $4 was taken from a residence. Entry was through an open bedroom window.

THOMAS ST. N., 300 block, 4:20 a.m. Sept. 9. Two wallets were taken from an apartment. Entry was through a bathroom window.

TROY ST. N., 1300 block, Sept. 10. A Pioneer amplifier and a Realistic stereo equalizer were taken from a residence.

UTAH ST. N., 1900 block, Sept. 11. Three watches, a diamond ring, silverware and $20 were taken from a residence. Entry was by breaking a window pane in a basement door.

28TH ST. S., 1400 block, Sept. 12. A Sears 19-inch color television set and audio equipment were taken from a residence. Entry was by breaking a door lock. Fairfax County

Fairfax County police received the following crime reports from Sept. 8 through Sept. 14 in the Mason Police District and portions of the McLean District: Abduction

LEESBURG PIKE, at Glen Forest Drive. A man approached a 24-year-old woman in a car stopped at a red light, forced his way into the car and drove off. The car subsequently struck a moped and collided with another vehicle. Police stopped a 27-year-old Arlington man and charged him with abduction, auto theft, driving while intoxicated and two counts of hit-and-run driving. Robbery, Attempted Robbery

ARLINGTON BLVD., 6100 block. A man armed with a sawed-off rifle approached a hotel clerk and demanded money. After the clerk gave him some, he forced the clerk to lie down and then fled.

SEMINARY RD., 5600 block. A man tried to take a 56-year-old woman's purse. When she didn't let go, he fled. Thefts/Break-ins

ARLINGTON BLVD., 6100 block. Two RCA color television sets, a Casio calculator, two briefcases and two suitcases filled with clothes were taken from a hotel room.

BALLANTRAE LA., 1100 block. Two Techna tires and rims were removed from a vehicle parked in a residential driveway.

BEAUREGARD ST., 4900 block. An RCA color television set, Sony recorder, two watches and jewelry were taken from a residence.

BEECHTREE LA. 3300 block. Money was taken from a home.

BERLEE DR., 6100 block. Food was stolen from two freezers in the garage of a residence.

BRADDOCK RD., 6500 block. Tools were taken from a business.

BRIAR RIDGE CT., 1800 block. Silver, jewelry and a camera lens were taken from a residence. Entry was by breaking glass on the basement door.

CARLIN SPRINGS RD., 3500 block. A camera and audio equipment valued at more than $5,000 were taken from a business. Entry was by prying open the door lock.

CHERRY ST., 2900 block. An oriental rug was taken from a house, which had been entered through the rear door.

FRAN PLACE, 4900 block. Money was taken from an apartment. Entry was made by cutting a kitchen window screen.

LEESBURG PIKE, 5800 block. Three oxygen regulators were taken from a business.

MIRACLE LA., 2000 block. Amplifiers, cables and five microphones were taken from a residence. The house was entered through a basement window.

OLD CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 1300 block. A briefcase, watch and bracelet were taken from a parked van.

PIMMIT DR., 2200 block. Two watches, silver and jewelry were stolen from an apartment.

SYLVAN LA., 3000 block. A Magnavox color television set, Sony turntable, Panasonic radio, jewelry, watches, camera and credit cards were taken from a residence. Entry was gained by breaking the glass in a rear door.

WESTWIND WAY, 1600 block. An Alpine stereo receiver and speakers were removed from a parked vehicle. Entry was made by jimmying a door lock.

EIGHTH ST., 6300 block. A house was ransacked. A 34-year-old man was found inside the house and was charged with unlawful entry. FALLS CHURCH

Falls Church police received the following crime reports from Sept. 8 through Sept. 14: Thefts/Break-ins

DORCHESTER RD., 600 block, on Sept. 12. A men's silver and blue Huffy bicycle, valued at about $140, was taken from a driveway.

DOUGLAS AVE., 300 block, on Sept. 8. An orange 1972 Chevrolet pickup truck was stolen from in front of a business.

GORDONS RD., 7100 block, 11 a.m. Sept. 6 to 8 a.m. Sept. 8. A generator worth $350 and a ventilating fan were stolen from the city property yard.

HAMPTON CT., 400 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 13 to 12:30 a.m. Sept. 14. A 38-caliber handgun in a light blue holster and $116 in rolled change were stolen from a home.

STEEPLES CT., 1000 block. A 30-year-old Falls Church man was arrested and charged with arson in connection with a $100,000 fire Sept. 4 at a town house at 1008 Steeples Ct. The garage, a car and garage contents were heavily damaged.
