The left end on Richard Montgomery's split four defense, Lingenfelter sacked Wootton's quarterback twice and blocked a punt that was picked up and run in for a touchdown as the Rockets (4-1) upset city rival Wootton, 21-0.

Lingenfelter, a 6-foot 4, 215 pound junior, has 10 sacks and three blocked punts this season.

Richard Montgomery Coach Al Avery said the key to the Rocket's victory was Lingenfelter's quarterback containment. "He kept their quarterback in the pocket," he said. "Every time they rolled to his side they had three men on him. But they never broke containment on his side of the line."

Lingenfelter's blocked punt came in the first quarter with the Rockets leading, 6-0. Teammate Jason Freeze picked theball up and ran 44 yards for the score.

"They usually set up my side of the line to block the kick because of my height," Lingenfelter said. "I caught the first man off guard and I was able to get inside."

Lingerfelter had four sacks in games against Rockville and Woodward this year.

"He doesn't know the potential he has," Avery said. "He has started from day one and has improved every week."
