including patrons, artists, art organizations and corporations that encourage the arts -- have been named for the second Governor's Awards for the Arts in Virginia.

Eight award recipients will be honored at a dinner on May 18 in Richmond.

Programs celebrating the arts will be held throughout the state during April. The Federated Arts Council of Richmond and the Virginia Commission of the Arts are coordinating the project with the assistance of corporate sponsors.
