A Fairfax County prosecutor said yesterday that 19-year-old Robert Grogg and a 15-year-old juvenile had been charged with murder in the Oct. 20 slaying of a North Carolina man whose body was found in a Lorton parking lot.

The two were arrested Oct. 26 in Sarasota, Fla., along with two female juveniles and charged with grand larceny in the theft of a car owned by Hallie Hollis, 28, of Williamston, N.C.

The body of Hollis, shot several times in the head, was found Oct. 21 in the parking lot of Vulcan Materials Co. at 10000 Ox Rd., according to Fairfax County police.

Hollis' car, a late-model Ford Torino, was found by police in Daytona Beach, Fla., on the night of Oct. 21, Carmichael said.

"It would appear, on the basis of our investigation, that robbery was the motive," said police department spokesman Warren R. Carmichael. "The victim had picked up the four suspects, who were hitchhiking," he said.

Grogg and the three juveniles will stand trial in Fairfax County on the grand larceny charges, according to their attorneys.

Grogg is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. today at General District Court.
