4 Named to Orchestra Board

Dr. Judy Gadol, Robert J. Smith, Rachael Ramsay and Jim Davis have been appointed to the 25-member board of directors of the Montgomery Chamber Orchestra Society Inc. The society maintains a professional chamber orchestra, which is currently giving its second season of concerts at the National Bureau of Standards in Gaithersburg. Gadol, a Rockville ophthalmologist, lives in Chevy Chase. Smith is a labor lawyer with Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in Washington. He lives in Great Falls. Ramsay, who lives in Gaithersburg, is a teacher at St. Jude's School in Rockville. Davis, who also lives in Gaithersburg, owns three American Speedy printing franchises in the county. Perry Named Engineers Fellow

Charles W. Perry, senior engineer for heavy oils and tar sands with the U.S. Synthetic Fuels Corp. in Washington, has been named a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In honoring the Gaithersburg resident, the New York-based institute cited Perry's work on energy supply, particularly in enhanced oil recovery. Citizens Group Names President

Robert R. Fredlund has been named president of the Montgomery Square Citizens Association, a Potomac community of about 450 homes. Fredlund has served with the county's Advisory Committee on Historic Sites and Districts, the Merit Systems Protection Board and the Compensation Task Force. Fredlund, of Espalier Place in Potomac, is retired from the U.S. Treasury Department. College of Surgeons Names Hausfeld

Dr. Jeffrey N. Hausfeld, a Washington and Chevy Chase otolaryngologist, has been named a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Besides his private practice in ear, nose and throat medicine, Hausfeld teaches at George Washington University Hospital and is an attending physician there and several other area hospitals. He lives in Potomac.
