The Fairfax County Child Care Advisor Council is seeking nominations for the 1986 Child Care Professional/Advocate of the Year Awards. The County Board of Supervisors and the council will honor outstanding child care professionals, citizens and volunteers.

Nomination forms are available from the Fairfax County Office for children, child care centers and libraries. Forms must be returned to the Office for Children by Feb. 7.

Little Beginnings Child Development Center recently opened at 606 N. Irving St., Arlington. The center is a cooperative started by a group of mothers who will care for children ages 2 to 5 for a weekly fee of $85. A Prince William County survey regarding a summer tutorial program will be distributed to parents with children in public schools this week. The program is designed to help students with reading, writing and math skills. The cost would be $8 an hour for a minimum of 15 hours of instruction, with three students to a teacher.
