Starting tomorrow, the Metro subway system will remain open until midnight on Sundays instead of closing at 6 p.m.

Several changes in Metrobus service also will take effect tomorrow night, according to Metro officials.

Bus service on seven routes will be extended on Sunday evenings to provide connections at rail stations.

Route 60 buses will serve the Federal Center SW rail station until 9:45 p.m. Buses on routes 82 and 86 will serve the Rhode Island Avenue station until 11:57 p.m.

On route 84, one trip leaving Rhode Island Avenue at 5:58 p.m. will be extended to provide service to the New Carrollton station at 6:39 p.m.

Route A12 buses will serve the Landover station until 11:18 p.m.

Buses on routes K4 and K6 will serve the Fort Totten station until 11:51 p.m.

Bus service on two routes that parallel subway lines will be curtailed on Sunday evenings.

On route D12, a southbound trip that previously left 11th and E streets NW at 8:03 p.m. will be eliminated. Instead, D12 service will be provided from the Federal Center SW station at 8:10 p.m.

On route K12, a westbound trip leaving Andrews Air Force Base at 7:40 p.m. will terminate at the Potomac Avenue station instead of 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE.

An eastbound K12 trip that previously left 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE at 8:55 p.m. will be eliminated. Instead, K12 service will be provided from the Potomac Avenue station at 9:09 p.m.
