Six persons have been arrested on drug charges after a two-month undercover investigation of marijuana and PCP distribution at the University of Maryland's College Park campus, Maryland state police said yesterday.
The narcotics ring, which included a current U-Md. student and a former student, was responsible for "a large amount and heavy volume" of marijuana and PCP sales on the campus, said Sgt. Joseph P. Ireton, a state police spokesman.
During the joint state police-University police investigation, Ireton said, state police served a search warrant at the Landover home of Donald Andrice Hall and Paulette Louise Spencer and seized two ounces of liquid PCP, two ounces of marijuana sprayed with PCP -- sold on the street as "loveboat" -- two ounces of marijuana and one small automatic handgun.
The investigation is continuing, police said, and more arrests are expected.
Those arrested on Monday were:
Robert Lee Flynn, 19, a university student, of 7025 Groveton Dr., Clinton; Roger Bernard Brooks, 21, of 7437 Villiage Green Ter., Landover; Donald Andrice Hall, 22, and Paulette Louise Spencer, 39, both of 7420 Belle Haven Ct., Landover; Harold Teen Sampson, 21, of 4920 Lakeland Dr., College Park; and Timothy Charles Mullin, 24, of 1609 Chestnut St., Bethesda.
