The following requests for preliminary site plans were approved:
NORTHEAST CORNER OF ARMISTEAD AND BEAUREGARD STREETS -- By the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority to construct a five-unit apartment building on a currently vacant lot. 5to0.
BRADDOCK RD. W., 4401 -- By St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School For Boys to construct a 27,121-square-foot, 11-classroom addition to an existing school building. 5 to 0.
CAMERON ST., 1209-1215 -- By Rust, Orling and Neale to construct a two-story, 8,000-square-foot office building with 20 parking spaces on the basement level on a currently vacant lot. 5 to 0.
DOVE ST. S., 35 -- By Duke Yi Limited Partnership to add a basement to an approved preliminary site plan for a building. The basement will increase the floor area from 30,888 square feet to 47,242 square feet. 5 to 0.
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF FRANKLIN AND SOUTH WASHINGTON STREETS -- By Yates Gardens Associates to construct a 53,440-square-foot building with 179 parking spaces in two basement levels of the building. Two buildings now on the property will be demolished. 5 to 0.
MOUNT VERNON AVE., 2200 -- By OTV Inc. to construct a three-story, 36,109-square-foot office building with 49 parking spaces in the basement level of the building and 27 parking spaces on the lot. An existing building and garage on the property will be demolished. 5 to 0.
WEST GLEBE RD., 811 -- By the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority to repaint the parking lines on an existing parking lot, which will add 56 parking spaces. 5 to0.
WHEELER AVE., 3945 -- By the Simpson Co. to add a 5,070-square-foot addition to the side and rear of an existing building. 5 to 0.
SOUTH SIDE OF WHEELER AVENUE, EAST OF EARLY STREET -- By Construction Services Associates to construct a three-story, 19,344-square-foot office building on a currently vacant lot. 5 to 0. The following requests were approved:
