Two men were killed and three persons injured in two separate traffic accidents in Prince George's County early yesterday, police said.

The first accident occurred about 1:15 a.m. in the Riverdale area, a Prince George's County police spokeswoman said. In the single-vehicle incident, 22-year-old Rodney Lee Taylor of 5508 63rd Ave. in Riverdale died of injuries received when he was thrown through the rear windshield of a car that overturned.

Police said the car, driven by 23-year-old Ray D. Hall of 9509 Woodberry St. in Lanham, was headed north on Edmonston Road when it struck a utility pole near Kenilworth Avenue. The car flipped and slid approximately 100 feet into Kenilworth Avenue, police said. Both occupants were thrown from the car. Hall was in stable condition last night in Prince George's Hospital Center.

The second accident occurred after 3 a.m. in Laurel, police said. In this accident, Patrick Barnes, 21, of 3525 Madonna La. in Bowie, apparently fell asleep while driving south on Laurel-Bowie Road. The car crossed the center line and collided with two cars driving in the opposite direction. Police said 19-year-old Daniel Bruce Christopher of 16833 Melbourne Dr. in Laurel was killed instantly in the accident. Also, 22-year-old Robert Subrizi of 1209 Buckhorn Rd. in Sikesville was injured. He was listed in stable condition at Prince George's Hospital Center; Barnes was admitted with minor lacerations, police said.
