BETHESDA

BRADMOOR DR., 8927 -- Granted a variance request by Thomas J. and M. Riegert to build a gazebo 17 feet from the front property line instead of the minimum 25 feet required.

CHEVY CHASE

CUMMINGS LA., 3313 -- Granted a variance request by Laura G. Denault to build an addition onto a garage that does not conform to current zoning laws because of its location on the lot. Any addition to such a structure requires a variance.

LELAND ST., 3216 -- Granted a variance request by David G. Poplack to build an addition to a house five feet from a side property line instead of the minimum eight feet required.

WOODHOLLOW DR., 3203 -- Granted a variance request by Land Brokers, Inc. to build an additon to a house that does not conform to current zoning laws because of its location on the lot. Any addition to such a structure requires a variance. A variance also was granted to allow the addition to be 19 feet from the rear property line instead of the minimum 25 feet required.

GAITHERSBURG

LONGDRAFT RD., 17030 -- Granted a special exception request by D. and A. Dunlevy Landscapers to continue operating a landscape contracting business in a residential zone.

POTOMAC

DEMOCRACY BLVD., 10529 -- Granted variance requests by Juan Alfaro to enclose an existing carport that does not conform to current zoning laws because of its location on the lot. Any addition to such a strucure requires a variance.

SKIPWITH LA., 11305 -- Granted a variance request by Riaz Haider to build a three-car garage in the side and front yards instead of in the rear yard as required.

SILVER SPRING

COLESBERG ST., 1630 -- Granted a variance request by Janis A. Klimanis to build a detached garage in a side yard instead of in the rear yard as required.

COUNTRYSIDE DR., 2500 -- Granted a variance request by Gary and Betsy Ann Morganstern to build a swimming pool in a side yard instead of in the rear yard as required.

GEORGIA AVE., 14171 -- Granted a variance request by Carl M. Freeman to reduce the amount of green space required in a parking lot from 60 percent to 57 percent.

RICKOVER RD., 4020 -- Granted a variance request by James W. Sutton to build an addition to a house 13.4 feet from the rear property line instead of the minimum 20 feet required.

WHEATON

KAYSON ST., 3709 -- Granted a variance request by Evelyn M. Longa James to allow an open deck to remain extended four feet into a side yard instead of the maximum three feet allowed.
