Sorority Plans Gospel Concert for Founders Day

As part of its Founders Day celebration, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority will hold a Gospel Song Fest at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Israel Baptist Church, 1251 Saratoga Ave. NE. Donation is $5.

Among the artists will be the choruses of Ballou Senior High School and St. Teresa of Avila Church.

On Sunday, the sorority will sponsor a worship service at Howard University and a luncheon at the J.W. Marriott Hotel.

The McKinley High School group will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 19 in the school, at Second and T streets NE. The MacFarland Junior High School group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the school, 4400 Iowa Ave. NW.

Conference on Maintaining Housing Set The District of Columbia Mutual Housing Association Inc. will hold a conference this weekend on maintaining low- and moderate-income housing, covering financing, board duties, government programs, self-help options and tenants' rights. Some programs will be offered in Spanish.
