Won the balance beam and the uneven bars in the Northern Region Meet last weekend to lead the Spartans past Lake Braddock for their first ever regional title. Was runnerup in the all-around with a 35.45, finishing just .15 points behind Lake Braddock's Shannon Propps.

The 4-foot-11, sophomore was the Northern District all-around champion two weeks ago with 35.65 points after a knee injury slowed her down throughout much of the season. Was first on the uneven bars (9.2), second on the beam (9.15) and fourth on the vault (9.0) in that meet as West Springfield finished second to Lake Braddock.

Finished second in the Northern District and fourth in the Northern Region in all-around as a freshman, qualifying for the state meet on the balance beam and vault as West Springfield was the Virginia AAA runnerup.

Is a class 1 gymnast in the United States Gymnastics Federation competing with her club, Pete's Gymnastics. Will compete in the Capitol Cup and a sectional meet later this month.

West Springfield Coach Gerry Royals says: "She's sweet, petite and a neat kid. She's an outstanding little girl. LeeAnne has always been a strong gymnast. We work very hard and she's always been very precise...she works hard on making her routine very neat and clean."
