Volunteers Needed

The Prince William County Social Services Department is seeking volunteers for temporary assignments in several areas, including its Child Abuse and Neglect Unit, Foster Care Program, Employment Training and Child Care Unit. Volunteers are needed to provide transportation for clients. Training, supervision and county cars are provided for those who qualify. For additional information, call 335-7580.

Historic Prince William

Historic Prince William will hold its June meeting for members and guests at 6:30 tonight, beginning with a picnic on the grounds of Bel Air Plantation in Dale City. William E.S Flory, who owns Bel Air, will be guest speaker and offer tours of his home, not normally open to the public. Historic Prince William will hold its next general meeting in September. Domestic Violence

The Department of Corrections' Domestic Violence Task Force will hold a panel discussion from 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 29 at the Manassas City Hall on domestic violence in Prince William and the involvement of the courts, police and county agencies. Commonwealth's Attorney Paul B. Ebert (D), Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Judge Patrick D. Molinari, Magistrate David Burket Jr. and a representative from the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Probation Department are among the panelists. For more information, call 335-6200.

La Leche League

Strawberry Festival

The Membership Committee of the Friends of the Manassas Museum will sponsor a Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Osbourn High School. The festival will feature fresh berries, baked goods, crafts and musical groups. There also will be a public safety booth staffed by the Manassas Police Department. Admission and parking are free. Housing Panel to Meet
