Symphony Plans Baroque Concert

Continuing their summer series of "Concerts Under the Stars," the Prince William Symphony Chamber Players will present baroque trio sonatas by Telemann, Vivaldi and Haydn at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow. The concert will be at the lakeside pavilion at Tacketts Mill in Lake Ridge. The musicians perform every other Friday during the summer. Reiko Niiya-Tigges will be the concertmistress, with Christopher Moehlenkamp on cello and Janet Memoli on flute. Members of the audience may bring lawn chairs and picnic suppers to the pavilion. Junior Ranger Program

Prince William Forest Park will offer a Junior Ranger program for children ages 8 to 11 who are interested in nature. There will be four three-day sessions: July 9-11; July 25-27; Aug. 6-8; and Aug. 13-15. The first two days of each session run from 9 a.m. to noon and the third day runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No child may attend more than one session, and any child who has attended a session in previous years cannot participate this year because of increased demand. The program is free except for the $3 charge per vehicle to enter the park. Children must be registered by their parents or guardians, and reservations will be taken by phone from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 221-7181.

Computer Courses Set

The Dale City Recreation Center will offer two computer courses beginning July 9. Microsoft Works teaches the fundamentals of word processing, spreadsheets and database from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday from July 9 to July 18. Getting Started with MS/DOS teaches introductory hardware and software concepts, as well as keyboard use of internal and external MS/DOS commands. This class meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday evening from July 10 to 19. Each program costs $100 for Dale City residents and $120 for nonresidents. Call 670-7113.

New Recycling Sites

The county Department of Public Works has added four recycling sites to meet increasing demand. The colorful igloo-shaped containers are marked for specific materials. The four new sites are: Enterprise Elementary School on Lindendale Road in Dale City; White Oak Nursery on Route 29 in Gainesville; Cokesbury United Methodist Church on Blackburn Road in Woodbridge; and Stringer's Exxon at Devils Reach Road and Route 123 in Woodbridge.
