Seneca Ridge Recycling The Seneca Ridge Middle School recycling center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Newspaper, cardboard, tin and aluminum cans, some plastics and green, brown and clear glass will be accepted.

Needlework Exhibition

Oatlands Plantation has announced that its annual needlework exhibition will take place Oct. 12-21. Entrants are asked to start preparing pieces in the following categories: canvas work, crewel, embroidery, counted thread, smocking, French hand sewing, quilting, dollhouse miniatures, miscellaneous and group work. There are two adult divisions, amateur and professional, and a junior division. All entries must be made with a hand-held threaded needle. Call 777-3174.

Leesburg's Late Parade

The Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company will sponsor a late Fourth of July parade at 6 p.m. Saturday on South King Street at the Virginia Village Shopping Center. The parade will conclude at Ida Lee Park at 7:30 p.m. and be followed by a picnic, entertainment and fireworks. Rain date is Sunday.

Courthouse Concert

The Sunday Courthouse Concert Series continues Sunday with storyteller and singer John McCutcheon. The concert begins at 7 p.m. on the lawn of the county courthouse. A $2 donation is requested.

Alumni Picnic

Children's Classes
