Art Display at Contel

As part of the Fairfax County Council of the Arts "Corporate Arts Program," Contel Federal Systems is introducing works by local artists into the offices of local businesses. Photographs by Ken Ashton, of Reston, and paintings by Pacita Abad, of Washington, Josephine Haden, of Arlington, and Connie Slack, of Reston, are on display at Contel's Chantilly office. Porcelain Demonstrations

The Craft Gallery of Artisans United is presenting a show by members of the Northern Virginia Porcelain Painters Club through July 26. The gallery will host an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday featuring demonstrations by porcelain artists Evelyn Floyd, Helen Gehr and Bea Henshaw. Photos of Alexandria Shown

The photography exhibition "Alexandria: Outside Looking In," is on view through July 22 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, 105 N. Union St., Old Town, Alexandria. Maryland photographers Barbara Carroll, Benita Keller and Harriet Wise were invited to photograph the city. Green Spring Photo Contest

Enter your favorite black and white or color photographs in Green Spring's annual photography contest through July 25. Categories include cultivated and wild plants, gardens and landscapes. Photos will be judged on originality, compositions, exposure sharpness, depth of field and color. There is a limit of two entries per person, with a $5 entry fee. Wildlife Art in Vienna

The National Wildlife Federation will host a reception from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today in honor of its "NWF Employee Art Show." The exhibit, through July 30, depicts wildlife and conservation themes. Pieces include photography, watercolors, pencil, acrylic, pastel, pottery, pen-and-ink and cross-stich. The gallery at 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Quilters' Show in Loudoun

N.Va. Photography Event

An opening reception and awards presentation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. next Thursday for the Northern Virginia Photography Exhibition.
