No one correctly chose all six numbers in Saturday night's Virginia Lotto drawing, the fourth straight week that the winning number has not been matched.

The $11.4 million jackpot is expected to increase to at least $16 million in this Saturday's drawing, the biggest jackpot since the games began in January.

Over the weekend, the lottery set a record for single-day ticket sales. A spokeswoman said 3.84 million tickets were sold across the state Saturday as players anticipated bringing home the big prize.

She said 138 people won $1,751 each for matching five of the six numbers, and 8,717 won $59 for picking four. The lottery also will give more than 147,000 people a free play for matching three of the six numbers.

The winning numbers were 5-8-22-24-43-44.

In other lottery action, one winning ticket was sold -- in Kansas -- in Saturday's multistate, $35 million Lotto America drawing, a District Lottery spokeswoman said. Kansas is one of nine states that participate in the game, along with the District.

The jackpot was the second-largest in Lotto America history. The jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing will be $2 million.
